Q: What is it? - Koloman
Thinking about topics I could write or describe in this Wiki I believe that we should start a discussion about the structure and content of this new "what is it". Is it more a type wikipedia with neutral articles around the tablet world, or a dictionary explaining words from the tablet and ink world? Or is it a discussion platform?
For me the main purpose could be to be a platform to convince the world to use it, to invest in it, to keep it as a technology. Its interesting, that there is a small group enthusiastic about ink and slate and tablet but the world is not hearing this group since many years. If I use my tablet everybody sees it in the first sight as a fascinating but strange thing far away from reality, not for them...
Even Microsoft left this technology not improving many things in office, IE, etc. The other like firefox, Linux, etc. seem not to support really this new ideas which could - in my opinion - change the way of using IT.

A: A Wiki
- Discussion Platform? - We already have plenty of sites for that (forums) see Why a Wiki?
- Convince the world to use it, to invest in it? - Plenty of sites/blogs that seem to be working at that too.
Please take look at the Vision Statement

Q: Did I miss something? - Links?
Did I miss something? The front page doesn't have any links into the various sub-areas (tablet, umpc etc.) Chippy 05:22, 14 August 2006 (GMT-8)Steve Paine
A: No, It wasn't there - for Chippy
Hi Chippy, You didn't miss it. There is no obvious hierarchy or menu structure to the organization of the knowledge. Just pick a term and hit search. There is a lot of cross referencing going on here.
Most of what is here is about Tablet PCs. That is because up until a few hours ago, I was the only contributor. That's changing even as we speak.
Anyway - try the search. The interesting thing is,
- If you don't find what you are looking for, you can create a page and add what you *do* know.
- If you end up doing that - be sure to click the "watch" tab at the top.
- If you have email notifications turned on in your preferences then you'll get a email if someone adds to that page.
